But just a reminder about the current challenge - the theme is Floral. The original closing date was 15th September but it is now extended to Thursday 24th September.

Challenge winner & details of new challenge.
Hi there,
Can you believe it is August already - you would be forgiven for thinking it was March with the weather we are having!!
Anyway, down to important crafty business.
The winner of the masculine challenge was entry No. 4 - the lovely motorbike was created from scratch (no template!!) by Claudia Short. Well done Claudia.
The next challenge theme is Floral. Again any kind of project - card, layout, book etc.
Prize is a Floral pack - 6 packs of silk and chiffon flowers, Floral papers, floral embellishments, ribbon etc.
Closing date for this challenge is Saturday 15th September - should leave you with a little time to get your GBCE challenges done as well.

Masculine Challenge
Hi again,
Remember last month's Masculine challenge. Well finally here they are. There wasn't the same volume of entries as we had for the Scallop challenge but the quality was definitely there.
The prize was 3 cuttlebug folders.
Not sure when or what the next challenge will be, but will keep ye posted.

Coffee Morning Challenge
Afternoon,
Hope ye are all enjoying the 'Summer'!!
Good crafting weather.
Been really busy - getting together the new blog for the GBCE in Athlone in September.
Ye are really in for a treat - so keep your eyes/ears peeled over the coming days for more info.
We now have a page on Facebook - so if you are already there please take a look at our page and become a fan. If you have never been on Facebook, then maybe now is a good time to see what it is all about and there will be some familiar faces there for you.
Last Friday was coffee morning at An Siopa Buí. I wasn't there but I believe that I missed some wonderful projects. Cathy McMahon won the prize for this lovely 'game'
There was double LO from Lindsey
A neckpiece and a bag from Eileen
And a card from Mary
That's all the pictures I have!!

Was speaking to Kerry about our Masculine challenge.
And the big news is the prize will be 3 cuttlebug folders!!!

Not sure when they will be in but keep watching.

Bits & Pieces of News
Evening,
A few bits of news for ye.
1. The next challenge theme is Masculine - as simple as that ;-).
Entries in by 20th June. Any kind of project - cards, LO's, mini-books, etc.
Will update on the prize as soon as I know.
2. Kerry is in London for a few days - catching up with family and............................................................................. meeting suppliers!!!!!!!!!
We will have to ambush her at the airport.
3. Parchment class for next Sunday is postponed - will update as soon as new date is finalised.

Challenge Winners!!!!
Congratulations to everyone who entered. The reason it has taken me so long to decide on a winner - is that it is such a hard job! It really has been tough and I have changed my mind a good few times.
The winner is Entry no 22 - the card that is a box, a popout, a little scrapbook, and everything in fact. It is the entry I call time for tea. What wonderful use of scallops and really creative use of making scallops out of circle punches as well. I actually have this entry in the shop, so if you pop in, do ask to see it - it really is a deserving winner. Sarah - please contact me to choose your nesties.
But, I am not done yet, because we do have a second prize - a voucher to spend online and that goes to the the simple but very clever sheep! Entry no 6! I am sure you all agree.

April Challenge
Evening,
Just to confirm the details for the April challenge.
The prize is a set of Nestabilities.
For the challenge the theme is scallop. You can make any project - card, LO, mini book, album - anything as long as you use a scallop (not the shellfish).
Closing date is April 30th 2009.
When completed, photograph it and send it to anblogbui@gmail.com
If you can't photograph it or email it, let us know and will organise something for you, e.g. leave your entry at the shop, meet to take a photo (within reason).
Got the first entry today - so get working crafters!!
